Hero Central Launch
Friday, March 14th, 2008To coincide with my birthday we held the Hero Central Launch party in February.
The theme was to come dressed as a superhero or villain and I have to say that both friends and customers put in an amazing effort.
I also have to give a shout out to Hell’s Kitchen for producing an amazing comic version of Spawn for one of my friends, fantastic work guys.
Prizes were given for best costumes and games were played to add to the atmosphere.
I would also like to thank Hero Energy for their support by donating Hero Energy drinks for the party.
Heath Ledger R.I.P
Thursday, January 24th, 2008
In a shocking discovery Heath Ledger was found dead in his New York City apartment on Tuesday afternoon, his body was discovered in his SoHo apartment when a masseuse arrived for an appointment around 3 p.m. ET.

Ledger will appear this year as the Joker in the highly anticipated Batman sequel, The Dark Knight.
Reports have indicated that this role would have catapulted his career as his portrayal of the Joker has been described as both chilling and inspired.
I have been eagerly awaiting this movie for over a year but for me now I think I will watch The Dark Knight with a much different perspective.
We here at Hero Central wish his family all the best and our thoughts are with you.

Supanova Sydney 2007
Monday, October 15th, 2007Well Supanova 2007 has come & gone already and what a great show.
For those that were there and got a showbag at the door, hopefully would have realised that we had a flyer for a competition in there and will enter over the coming weeks
Unfortunately I wasnt able to make it earlier enough on the saturday morning to see the Stan Lee Q&A live telecast but I did make the rest off the show.
Cosplay as always had a great following this year with lots of different costumes.
Fat Momma from the first season of Who wants to be a Superhero’ was there signing comics, photos & her trademark plastic doghnuts.
Marv Wolfman was in attendance signing at the Cartoon Network Booth. I got myself a Nightwing script signed along with a couple of Nightwing issues signed by the man acclaimed for Teen Titans/Nightwing & his Crisis of Infinite Earth work.
Whilce Portacio was signing at The Vault and had some nice Superman/Batman limited prints.
Nicholas Brendan was also in attendance signing and having photos taken with fans.
Sam J Jones (Flash Gordon) was also there signing and I have to say the amazing Alex Ross Flash Gordon signed prints were well worth waiting in line for.
and then there was Brandon Peterson, what can I say I have always enjoyed his artwork but I had no idea just how nice of a guy he was. He had plenty of time for everyone and was even doing quick sketches.
Expect to see us there next year with our own booth.
Below are some of the pics from the day and make sure you enter the competition, who knows you might just win….
